My most memorable experience with a wild creature in the forest.
In this photo she is looking down and listening for mice under the snow
As I searched for chickadees and squirrels there she was sitting on a branch
no more then six feet above me, she did not seem to mind me at all, I spent
almost 2 hours with her until my fingers could no longer move !It was around -20Celsius that day.

Awesome shot! I've never seen an Owl before.
Very beautiful owl !!
Lovely owl photo. I also love owls.
Oh wow what a cool job that must have been
Well, it was mostly a hobby. My first husband was a licensed Falconer. On week ends he would rescue birds of pray and we would bring them back to good health. Then some would be trained to hunt. Prairie falcons and great horned owl mostly. When the injuries required a vet then he worked with UCLA vet training dept to fix them up. It is from there that students made movies. I love owls. Already moved this one in my faves owl folder.
Outstanding. It's clear she's concentrating on something, and you were able to spend time with her. I love the contrast of warm yellow and brown feathers against the snow. She's a beauty.
This is amazing.
