This is a little ground hog who ended up in the middle of the lake for some unknow reason that we rescued a few year back
He was so tired when we stopped our boat he just started climbing aboard and I helped him

He did not care that I picked him up he was so tired
poor little soul but he was a good after we let him rest and brought him to shore, they swim fine but not long distances
I don't think!

I saw my first groundhog on my recent journey to Canada. I managed to get within a few yards of him and shoot two pics before he ducked into his hole. I was surprised he was so friendly. To hear you rescued one and to see him up close is truly wonderful!!! I've fallen in love with them!!
